Working with Home System Solutions
Understanding the design & installation process
Our process is the same for each client whether your project is new construction or a remodel or retrofit in your current home:
Step One: Contact us to discuss your project.
Either give us a call, send an email, or fill out our Contact form.
Step Two: Consultation.
Design starts with a walkthrough of your house (or a meeting with you to look at house plans) to discuss specifics for your project. We’ll then create a scope of work for your project, and once that is confirmed, an actual design of your project is created.
Step Three: Visit our showroom & discuss your project.
You’ll have the opportunity to meet us in person, touch the products and systems we use, and see up close the quality work you can expect from us. We can talk more in-depth about your project at this time as well.
Step Four: Design your system.
The design and scope of your project will decide how in-depth our design & engineering of your system will be. We offer different levels of design from basic system design to fully engineered solutions with supporting documentation.
Step Five: Installation.
Once the design is agreed upon, we’ll schedule the start date of your installation. Leading up to the start date we’ll be ordering all your parts to be ready to get to work. Unlike other contractors in central Oregon, once we’ve started your installation, we are all hands on deck until your installation is done.
Step Six: Education of using your system.
Once your system is installed, you will be trained on your new equipment and we will work together to make any necessary tweaks to lighting controls, etc to make sure you are extremely happy with your system.
Step Seven: Ongoing Support
After your system installation is finished and working perfectly, Home System Solutions continues to be available for your questions and programming needs. We recommend our Pro Service Plan for access to upgraded technical support, priority service call scheduling, as well as discounted rates for service calls, additional programming, and additional designs for your system.
